“I’d love to do a boudoir shoot. Maybe after I lose ten pounds.”

If you’re considering boudoir after 40—or in any new chapter of life—you’re welcome at our North Dallas studio exactly as you are. We’ll guide you through the experience, from getting ready to posing, with room for your questions, comfort and choices.

Every client I’ve photographed has been a mother. Every one has brought a body that has lived—stretch marks, scars, changes, and a story of her own. Life has happened to you. You’ve cared for people. You’ve moved through things. You’re here today, and there is beauty worth capturing in this chapter.

One thing I believe deeply: sexy is about inhabiting the body that you have.

Maybe you want to capture your erotic essence. Maybe you want to awaken a side of yourself that’s been quiet while you were busy being a mother, a partner, and the person everyone depends on. Or maybe your partner keeps telling you how beautiful you are, and you’d like a chance to see what they see.

I’m honored that I get to be on the other side of that lens.

The First Hour Is About Settling In

When you arrive at our North Dallas home studio, we give you time to get comfortable. There’s music playing, conversation, and a chance to be cared for.

Professional hair and makeup are included. Lilly, our preferred artist, or another professional artist if she is unavailable, works with you to create a look you choose—perhaps a little more glamorous than your everyday look, while still feeling like yourself.

When Chanel had her first boudoir session in 2017, it was also her first experience with professional hair and makeup. She hadn’t even had it done for our wedding. That time to sit down, be pampered, and see herself a little differently became a meaningful part of the experience.

While you’re getting ready, Chanel puts together outfit combinations from the pieces you’ve brought. We talk, get to know you, and let you settle in. That first hour to ninety minutes belongs to you.

We Choose Your Favorite Looks Together

Chanel will often have six to eight combinations ready for us to look through. Then we choose the ones you’re most excited about.

There isn’t a strict outfit limit. We usually aim for three to six looks, because changing clothes takes time, and we want you to have plenty of time enjoying the photography.

You don’t need to arrive knowing which pieces work together. We help with that. A favorite dress, an open shirt, lingerie, or something personal can each bring a different side of you into the photographs.

You Don’t Have to Know How to Pose

Before we begin, we talk through some basic posing guidance. I’ll help you with where to put your hands, how to shift your weight, and how small movements change the photograph.

We’ll also work through gentle stretching poses, guiding you into positions that feel comfortable for your body. Tell us if a movement doesn’t feel good, and we’ll adjust it or choose something else.

You’re never expected to figure it out on your own. There’s room to ask questions, laugh, pause, and try again.

We Start With Date-Night Portraits

We typically begin with dressed-up photographs—the kind that feel like getting ready for a wonderful date night. If you’ve come with your partner, we may start with a few photographs together.

From there, we explore the looks you’ve chosen. We use different areas of our living rooms and, if it fits your session, move into the bedroom.

Some clients want lingerie photographs. Some choose implied nudity, nude images, or more erotic expression. Others love their dressed-up portraits and want to stay there.

Every level is optional.

Chanel and I check in regularly. You can change your mind, skip a suggestion, take a break, or stop. We want your choices and boundaries to be clear throughout the experience.

Your Partner Is Welcome

Your partner can be there as a supportive witness, join a few photographs, or participate more fully in a couples boudoir session.

We’ll talk about that together beforehand. What are you hoping for? What would feel fun? What would help you feel comfortable?

Sometimes having your partner there offers another way to see yourself—to notice their expression when they look at you, or hear what they love about a photograph. And sometimes this is something you want to do entirely for yourself. Both are welcome.

Your photographs can also remain private. We only share images publicly with your written permission, and you can limit which images you authorize us to use.

Do You Need to Lose Those Ten Pounds First?

You get to decide when you’re ready. But if this is something you want, your current body is welcome in front of my camera.

I think of experiences like this as something that can belong on a bucket list. I jumped out of an airplane in 2025, and I loved it. I’m glad I gave myself that experience.

Your boudoir session can be a chance to say, “I’ve wanted to do this. Let’s have a great time.”

We often look back at photographs from ten years ago and appreciate something we couldn’t see at the time. I wonder what your future self might love about photographs of you today.

You don’t need to wait for a different body to celebrate this moment in your life.

The Experience Comes First

For Chanel and me, the first goal is that you have a wonderful time creating the photographs.

The digital images, albums, and wall art can become beautiful reminders of that experience. But there is no required image or product purchase. You’ll see your photographs before deciding what you’d like to buy.

The experience itself is $499 and includes professional hair and makeup. If and when you’re ready to purchase images, we’ll credit that $499 toward your image purchase. There’s no required image or product purchase, and we’ll explain all the pricing before you book.

My hope is that you’ll enjoy yourself, see something you love, and perhaps surprise yourself with those words I never get tired of hearing:

“Wow, that’s me.”

Boudoir After 40: What to Expect at Our North Dallas Studio

Bodyscape photography explores the body through light, shadow, shape, and texture. A shoulder, the curve of a back, or the line of a hip can become a quiet, expressive image—like a landscape made personal.

At Eros in Eden, we create these photographs with you. The mood can be soft, dramatic, sensual, or abstract, shaped around what you’d love to explore.

Seeing Your Body as Art

You may be drawn to bodyscapes because they offer a different way to see yourself. Rather than a full portrait, a photograph can focus on a small detail, a silhouette, or the way light moves across your skin.

Your body carries your story. Curves, stretch marks, scars, and the changes of time can all be part of that expression. You don’t need to look a particular way or arrive feeling confident to begin.

Oil, Water, and Light—When You Want Them

Oil can catch the light and add a luminous sheen. Water droplets can introduce texture and sparkle. We can discuss these effects during your consultation and decide together whether they fit the photographs you’re imagining.

They’re optional. We’ll talk through any products and how they would be applied before using them. You’re welcome to raise questions, share preferences, or choose a look without oil or water.

Your Comfort Shapes the Photographs

We’ll discuss your level of coverage, which parts of your body you’d like photographed, and what you’d prefer to keep outside the frame. Bodyscapes can explore covered forms, silhouettes, implied nudity, or nude imagery according to your preferences.

You can change your mind at any point. We’ll explain suggestions, check in with you, and make room to pause or skip anything that doesn’t feel right. There’s no expectation to go further than you want.

You’re Guided Throughout

My wife Chanel and I help plan your experience, with wardrobe guidance, professional hair and makeup, and support throughout your session. I guide your positioning and movement while working with the light; Chanel offers styling help and encouragement.

You don’t need to bring a list of poses or know how to create the photographs. Bring your ideas—or simply your curiosity—and we’ll help you develop them together.

For Yourself, or With Your Partner

You might choose bodyscapes as part of celebrating yourself, creating a gift for your partner, or exploring intimate photography together. If your partner joins, we’ll discuss their role and what each of you feels comfortable creating.

Our use of “sacred” describes the care, presence, and respect we bring to the experience. You don’t need to share our spiritual beliefs to feel welcome here.

Your Images, Your Choices

After your shoot, you’ll see your photographs before deciding which images or keepsakes you’d like to purchase. Images and products are optional, with no required purchase. We explain pricing before you book.

Your images can remain private. Public sharing requires your written permission, and you can limit which photographs you authorize us to use. Read our Privacy Policy for more details.

Bodyscape Boudoir Photography: Oil, Water & the Sacred Art of the Female

A personal story of shame, faith, and learning to welcome beauty and sensuality together.

The Moment It All Began

I was a kid when I found a Playboy magazine. I felt curiosity and wonder before I had language for what was stirring in me.

When my dad found out, the message I carried away was that sexuality was shameful, desire was dangerous, and beauty was something to fear. I know he meant to protect me. But those beliefs stayed with me for years.

This is part of my story, and part of why I care so deeply about creating a space where people can feel respected while exploring their sensuality.

Bring Your Own Story

If this resonates with you, explore our intimate boudoir experience or read about seeing yourself differently through boudoir after 40. You can bring your questions, your curiosity and your boundaries to a free, no-pressure consultation. We’ll talk about what you want to create together.

Learning to Make Room for Desire

My dad also gave me advice that stayed with me: “Find something you love to do—and find a way to get paid for it.”

I’ve long felt drawn to beauty, especially the beauty of the human body. For years, I struggled to make room for that appreciation alongside my faith. My own journey has been about learning to meet desire with honesty, care, and responsibility.

That journey informs my photography. I want the person in front of my camera to have a voice, to feel seen as a whole person, and to know that their choices matter.

When I Saw Her Light Up

In 2017, my wife had her first boudoir session. I saw her stand taller, smile brighter, and reconnect with something in herself. I wanted to help other women experience that possibility.

A few years later, during the pandemic, I picked up a camera. After I photographed someone close to me, she told me, “You have a gift. You need to do this for other women.” That encouragement helped me take the next step.

Today, one of my favorite moments is hearing a client say, “Wow, that’s me.” She recognizes herself and sees her beauty, presence, or playfulness from an angle she may have overlooked.

Faith, Sensuality, and Room for Your Own Beliefs

My spiritual life has roots in Christianity and has grown toward mysticism. I’ve been learning to experience my body, my desire, and my faith with more openness and less fear. For me, beauty and sensuality can be sacred.

When I speak of redemption, I’m speaking from that personal journey: reclaiming parts of myself I once believed I had to hide, and learning to bring them into my life with love and care.

You don’t need to share my beliefs. We honor each individual’s spiritual beliefs, and you’re welcome whether faith is central to your life or isn’t part of it. We follow your lead on whether you’d like spirituality included in your session.

What This Calling Looks Like in the Studio

My calling becomes practical in how we care for you. Chanel and I listen, help plan your session, offer wardrobe guidance, and support you through professional hair and makeup, posing, and expression.

You can bring a clear vision or simply a feeling you’d like to explore. We help shape the experience together. You can ask questions, take a break, change your mind, or skip any suggestion. Your comfort and boundaries guide what we create.

Your photographs can remain private. We only share images publicly with your written permission, and you can limit which images you authorize us to use.

Every Part of You Belongs

Perhaps you’ve spent years being the good mother, the dependable partner, or the person who cares for everyone else. Perhaps your sensuality has grown quiet, or you’ve carried messages from culture or religion that made it difficult to welcome that part of yourself.

You’re welcome to come as you are. You don’t need to feel confident, love every part of your body, or know how to pose before you arrive. There’s room here for tenderness, playfulness, desire, and the person you are today.

You might come for yourself, create a gift for your partner, or share the experience together. We’ll help you explore what feels like your own expression.

Return to the Garden

For me, Eden is an image of belonging—a place where beauty, the body, and connection can be welcomed with care. That’s the spirit I want to bring to your experience.

If something in this story resonates with you, I’d love to hear what you’re imagining. 📸 Called to Eden: Why I Photograph Boudoir in the Name of Redemption

Maybe you’ve caught yourself thinking, “I still look good. I want to capture this.” Or perhaps your partner keeps telling you how beautiful you are, and you’d love to see what they see.

After years of caring for others, it can feel unfamiliar to make room for your own sensuality. A boudoir experience offers time to be cared for, to play, and to rediscover a part of yourself that may have grown quiet.

Celebrating Your Body Today

Your body carries your story: motherhood, change, stretch marks, scars, and years of living. You can bring all of that into your photographs. Beauty and sensuality have room for the person you are today.

You don’t have to arrive loving every part of your body. If you feel nervous or self-conscious, you can say so. We’ll listen and help you settle in at your own pace.

You’re Guided Every Step of the Way

At Eros in Eden, my wife Chanel and I create a welcoming, private experience where you can be yourself. We plan your session with you, from wardrobe choices and professional hair and makeup to the mood you’d like your photographs to express.

During your shoot, I guide your posing, movement, and expression. There’s space to laugh, ask questions, take a break, and try something new. You can change your mind or skip any suggestion. Your comfort and boundaries guide what we create together.

“Wow, That’s Me.”

That’s one of my favorite things to hear when a client sees her photographs. She recognizes herself, and she also sees something she may have overlooked: her presence, her playfulness, her sensuality.

Lighting, thoughtful angles, and guided posing can offer a different view of yourself. I edit with care, keeping you recognizable. The hope is that you’ll see photographs that feel like you—and find a little more room to appreciate what’s already there.

For Yourself, or Shared With Your Partner

You might come to celebrate yourself, create a meaningful gift for your partner, or enjoy the experience together. Your partner can be a supportive witness, join a few photographs, or participate more fully in a couples boudoir session. We’ll talk through what feels right for each of you.

You get to shape the experience with us. Soft and romantic, playful, bold, or more intimate—there’s room to explore what feels like your own expression.

The Power of Body Positivity in Boudoir Photography

Your boudoir session begins before you step in front of the camera. At Eros in Eden, we plan the experience with you so you can arrive knowing what to expect. You don’t need modeling experience, a perfect wardrobe, or every detail figured out.

These simple steps will help you prepare for a session that feels like you.

1. Start With a Conversation

During your consultation, tell us what draws you to the experience. Maybe you want to celebrate yourself, create a gift for your partner, or explore something more intimate together. Share your ideas, questions, and any concerns—we’ll help you shape a plan.

We’ll also explain the experience and pricing before you book. The consultation is free, with no pressure and no obligation to book.

2. Choose Outfits That Feel Like You

Bring pieces you enjoy wearing and feel comfortable moving in. Lingerie is one option; a favorite sweater, an open shirt, a dress, or a meaningful accessory can also help tell your story. Try things on beforehand so you know how they fit and feel.

You don’t have to make every choice alone. We offer wardrobe guidance before your session, and Chanel helps with styling during the experience. We’ll talk about the looks you’d love to create and choose outfits together.

3. Let Us Help With Hair and Makeup

Professional hair and makeup are included in your experience. We’ll discuss your preferences so your look feels personal, whether you’re drawn to soft and natural or something more glamorous.

Follow the preparation guide we send for arrival instructions, including how to prepare your hair and skin. If you have questions or sensitivities you’d like the artist to know about, tell us beforehand.

4. Keep Your Preparation Comfortable

Give yourself time to rest, eat, and get ready without rushing. Stick with familiar routines that help you feel comfortable. There’s no need to add a new beauty treatment or change your body for your photographs.

Pack your outfits and accessories ahead of time, and wear comfortable clothing for your arrival. We’ll send a prep guide with the details and help with anything you’re unsure about.

5. Talk Together if Your Partner Is Joining

Your partner can come as a supportive witness, join a few photographs, or participate more fully in a couples boudoir session. Talk about what each of you is hoping for, then bring those ideas to your consultation.

Each person’s comfort and boundaries matter. We plan together, and either of you can pause, change your mind, or skip a suggestion during the shoot.

6. Leave Room to Enjoy the Experience

Plan roughly four to five hours from the start of hair and makeup. We’ll confirm your schedule before your session. Your image reveal is usually held by Zoom, with an in-person option if you prefer.

It’s okay to arrive feeling nervous. I’ll guide your posing, movement, and expression, while Chanel offers styling support and encouragement. You can ask questions, take breaks, laugh, and settle in at your own pace.

Top Tips for Preparing for Your Boudoir Photoshoot

Choosing a boudoir photographer is a personal decision. You’re inviting someone to see and photograph a part of yourself that may feel vulnerable, playful, or newly awakened. The photographs matter, and so does how you feel while creating them.

As you explore your options, look for an approach that speaks to you and a photographer you feel comfortable talking with. Here’s what that means in our experience at Eros in Eden.

A Plan We Create Together

You may have a clear vision, a few ideas, or simply a feeling you want to capture. We start by listening. During your consultation, we talk about the mood, wardrobe, and level of intimacy you’d like to explore, along with any questions or concerns.

My wife Chanel and I help shape the session with you. You have a voice in what we create, and you have support making the choices along the way.

Guidance in Front of the Camera

Most people don’t arrive knowing how to pose for boudoir. You don’t need to. I guide your positioning, movement, and expression, while Chanel offers styling help and encouragement.

We work with light, angles, and composition to create photographs that reflect your presence and the mood you’ve chosen. There’s time to try things, laugh, ask questions, and pause. You can enjoy the experience without having to perform a version of yourself you don’t recognize.

Care From Preparation Through Your Reveal

Our experience includes wardrobe guidance and professional hair and makeup. Before your shoot, we share preparation details and discuss your preferences so you know what to expect.

Afterward, we guide you through your image reveal and help you choose any photographs or keepsakes you’d like to purchase. I edit your selected images with care, keeping you recognizable. One of my favorite moments is hearing a client say, “Wow, that’s me.”

Your Boundaries Guide the Session

Professional care includes listening when you say yes, no, or “I’m not sure.” We discuss your comfort level beforehand, and you can change your mind, skip a pose, keep an outfit on, take a break, or stop during the shoot.

If your partner joins you, we plan their role together—whether they’re a supportive witness, join a few photographs, or participate more fully. Each person’s comfort and agreement matter throughout.

Privacy You Can Discuss Openly

Ask any photographer how your images will be stored, delivered, and used. You should feel comfortable asking these questions before booking.

At Eros in Eden, public sharing requires your written permission. You may limit which images you authorize us to share, and you’re welcome to keep your photographs private. You can read more about how we handle information and images in our Privacy Policy.

Clear Expectations Before You Book

Choosing an experience is easier when you understand what’s included, how long to allow, and how image purchases work. We explain our pricing and options during your consultation so you can decide what feels right.

Images and products are optional; there’s no required image or product purchase. You’ll see your photographs before choosing what you want to buy.

Find Out if We’re the Right Fit

Explore our portfolio, meet our team, and bring us your questions. Your session might be a celebration for yourself, a gift for your partner, or an experience you share together.

Start with a free, no-pressure consultation. We’ll listen, explain the experience, and help you imagine what we could create together. There’s no obligation to book.

How to Choose a Boudoir Photographer in North Dallas

I just wanted to write yall a quick note of thank you! Yesterday was just amazing! What you both did for Jane was just so amazing and wonderful! I've never seen her so sexy and confident. The way you explained every step, gave her breaks when you felt she needed them, and just kept her so comfortable were all just so amazing. And the snacks and champagne were just wonderful. We have just such a warm and fuzzy feeling about our experience. We will be riding this buzz of love for each other and just the overwhelming positive experience that we shared for years to come. I feel comfortable saying that you two have a gift from God for this. We started this journey early last summer, and this is absolutely our most positive experience.

Eros in Eden offered such a wonderful experience, from start to finish. We were afraid that a photoshoot would be a somewhat clinical experience all business and not much fun, but that is the farthest thing from how it actually was. As soon as you arrive, L and C make you feel comfortable and welcome you and treat you like life long friends. We laughed, had a great time, and absolutely enjoyed the whole process. L and C work so well together to offer a great experience from snacks and wine, to makeup and hair, to outfit selection, to picture ideas, to the amazing finished product. It was an afternoon we will not forget. And the main reason that we went, which was for the pictures, captured us and our relationship better than we could have.

Nothing short of an amazing experience. And remember, you are booking not just a professional photographer or photo shoot, the experience and obviously, the end product go a long way, too. And Eros in Eden did not disappoint at all. Lee & wife made sure that we were ready before we got to their studio. Once there, you can tell they run a well oiled machine, looking over us as a couple, making sure that we had the best outfits picked out for the occasion, and that we were comfortable and feeling at ease at all times. We might be back to get our "spicy" holiday photos done this year!.

"My journey as a boudoir photographer began with my wife's first professional boudoir session. Witnessing her newfound confidence and appreciation for her own beauty after the experience ignited a passion within me. Though we had attempted a boudoir shoot with an aspiring photographer previously, the results fell short of our expectations. It was only after my wife's second session that she truly recognized her own allure and worth, regardless of how she may compare to magazine cover models.

Since then, I have studied under a world-renowned male boudoir photographer, honing my skills to bring out the best in my clients. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing the expressions of joy and amazement on my clients' faces when I reveal the photos I have captured of them. I believe that editing is a crucial part of the process, ensuring that the final product is not an airbrushed fantasy, but a true representation of the individual in front of my camera.

My passion for boudoir photography stems from the belief that every person deserves to discover the hidden parts of themselves that may be buried deep within. Whether you have forgotten that side of yourself or have never truly connected with it, my team and I are here to guide you on that journey. We would love nothing more than to chat with you and discuss what you're looking for in a boudoir photography experience.

As a photographer, I have observed the harsh self-criticism that many women subject themselves to. My mission is to draw out the inner goddess that resides within each and every woman, to help them see the beauty and sensuality that they may not have recognized before. I am excited for the opportunity to work with you and capture the essence of your unique beauty through the art of boudoir photography."
